Lisa edited my book, Committed Action. As it was my fourth book project, I've experience with a number of editors. All have been professional, but Lisa brings a lot more to her work. First of all, she LOVES editing. She loves words, grammar, style guides, the lot, and her boundless enthusiasm comes through in every interaction. Secondly, her mastery of written English is authoritative. I suspect that her earlier training as a chartered accountant (should I have capitalised the C and A, Lisa?) and her time as an auditor at KPMG has a lot to do with this - she has done the work and it shows. Thirdly, she cares deeply about her client's books. If she says your book passes grammatical and stylistic muster, you can relax. If you need an editor, you need Lisa.

I produced the annual accounts with contributions from several people in the organisation who all had varying styles and IT skills. Although I would try to edit the document to standardise it, the use of a proofreader service gave me the comfort I wanted.

I particularly liked the speed of the service; everything recommended was a suggestion but I had confidence that the suggestion was relevant.

This resulted in a massive improvement in the quality of the accounts; secondary cross checking of numbers used in the text was valuable and I received assurance that the readers of the accounts could see the professionalism of the organisation. The document is now published on the website and so gives an impression of the whole organisation to the reader.
